The challenge
Three roofing layers hid extensive deck deterioration around the north-facing valleys, and the attic had intake vents but no exhaust path, cooking the shingles from below.
What we did
Complete tear-off to the deck, replacement of eleven sheets of damaged sheathing, new ice-and-water shield through all valleys, and a continuous ridge vent balanced against existing soffit intake.
The result
A single-layer, fully ventilated roof system with new flashing throughout and photographed documentation of every deck repair.
